At the completion of this activity, Pharmacists will be able to:
1. Review the effects of tobacco products and nicotine on the human body.
2. Identify available pharmacotherapeutic and behavioral interventions for assisting people in overcoming nicotine dependency.
3. Apply behavioral techniques, resources, and tools in supporting patients in nicotine cessation efforts.
4. Review New Mexico Board of Pharmacy protocol in pharmacy prescribing tobacco cessation.
