    Live Study Requirements

    • During your live study session that you register for, you will need…
      • Access to a partner during an assigned ten minutes of time within your live study course, your assigned ten minute physical assessment time will be given to you during the start portion of the live study class. 
      • Hand sanitizer
      • At least 2 Q-tips
      • Gloves
      • If you do not have a partner available at your assigned time or don’t re-ZOOM into the Session at your designated time, you will need to reschedule another time outside of the training course and your certification will be delayed until completion of this physical assessment.  The final 1 ½ hours of the live ZOOM session will be designated for the ten minute physical assessment demonstration, so it will be crucial for you to have a confirmed demo partner available along with logging in at the appropriate time that is scheduled.

    This training program will meet the requirements for a Certificate from the New Mexico Pharmacists Association for Pharmacist Vaccination Prescribing Authority. This is the approved training program required by regulations approved by the Board of Medicine, the Board of Nursing and the Board of Pharmacy.

    Training requirement:

    Purpose: This Certificate-based program will provide education and training to assist pharmacists in implementing a successful immunization practice including pharmacist prescribing of vaccinations.

    6)  Define Appropriate use and compliance with the Prescribing Vaccine protocol as approved by the New Mexico Board of Pharmacy, the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners and the New Mexico Board of Nursing;

    Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education Information

    The New Mexico Pharmacists Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.  Pharmacists and other health professionals may earn up to 14 contact hours or 1.4 CEU’s by participating and successfully completing a program evaluation form for each program attended.  NMPhA will submit the completed CPE hours into the CPE Monitor database within 30 days to attendees who have successfully completed a Program Evaluation Form. 

    NOTE:  CPE credit will not be issued unless all appropriate fees are paid.

    TARGET AUDIENCE:  Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy students.

    GRIEVANCE POLICY:  If, for any reason, a participant is unsatisfied with one program or the entire program, that participant must file his/her grievance, either by phone or in writing, with the NMPhA office within ten business days of the program in order to determine the refund amount.  If the individual(s) remain unsatisfied with the response from the NMPhA Program Administrator, he/she may request to appeal the situation before the Association’s Executive Council at the next scheduled meeting.  Such an appeal may be done either in person or in writing.  All expenses pertinent to such an appeal shall be borne by the individual(s) requesting the appeal.
